Had to make some changes....

Hi Everyone,

Due to the high gas prices and having to travel everyday to work, plus some health issues, I had to unsubscribe my listings in Country Fried Prims. Once things settle down I hope to be able to go back to listing there. You can still find my items on Webidz and Etsy and soon I will be listing on blujay also. And as always you can always contact me directly to purchase my items or request special orders.

I have a few new things to finish up and I will be listing them soon. Plus, I have some new ideas I am wanting to make - I hope to have all of them listed by the end of October, if all works out ok.

Now, I would like to inform all of you of my health issue. I ended up having to go to the Doctor last week. I have a bite on my arm which I thought was a spider bite. Turns out it was not a spider but a mosquito bite. Funny thing is, is this bite has been on my arm for over 2 weeks. When I started to feel ill is when I thought I had better have it looked at. The Doctor took some blood and the results shown negative for anything simple - so she sent the blood in to be tested for West Nile Virus. *sigh* If it turns out that I have West Nile I do not know what will be done. Some of you know to contact Susie, if I happen to be MIA for longer than usual, for an update. Please say a prayer that things will be ok.

Thank you for your patience and prayers,

Hugs,

Lisa

Summer's about over & School's about to start!

Hi Everyone!

I am sorry I have been MIA for the last couple of months. It has been a very busy summer at the Club. But, that is not all that has kept me away; I have been rather depressed & unsocial able. I have done everything possible at work to maintain the office and to work very hard at getting a new POS system to work and to be able to get the information that we need, working up to 11 hours OT a week, plus having 5-6 bosses wanting information; I have found out that they want me out - you know in that don't come out and say it way, but make your life a living H type way and blame you for things you have no control over. I am not a quitter! I will not quit until I found another job or they let me go. After all the hard work I have put in since April, I am hoping they just let me go; I need a vacation, which since they considered me "part-time" I did not qualify for. I have been there for 1 year and 5 months without a break, working full time hours for all but maybe 6 months at the beginning. *sigh* I am sorry for my rambling but I am very upset over all this.

I am hoping that in the next few months I will be able to make up some new items for you. I have a lot of new ideas that I am excited about and I can't wait to get started again! I love my crafting time and have missed it very much.

Michelle has a big week in front of her. School starts on Wednesday, she has a good friend from Washington flying in on Tuesday night, and the Anime Convention starts on Friday night! Since I will be stuck in a hotel room for most of the weekend, I am packing up my paints and supplies to work on while we are there. Just in time for the Country Fried Prims monthly launch on the 15th! Although, I am sure I will be listing the new items a few days late. Sorry!

I just want to say in closing Thank You! for your patience and loyalty throughout the craziness of summer and my job!

God Bless, and remember - He never gives you more than you can handle!

Summer Time = Busy Time!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a great summer so far.

Jessica has been wedding shopping and found some flowers she wanted so I took her shopping at Hobby Lobby. She showed me the flowers that she wanted and we bought them and, I hope, all the flowers we will need for the bouquets & boutonnières. When I was asking her questions about how she wanted the bouquets to look she put her hands on her face and said "Oh, Mom, I didn't know this was going to be so hard! I don't know!" I had to laugh at her and told her that "I am here to help you and to point out things I know you haven't thought of." I still can't believe she will be getting married!

Michelle is still recovering from the mono and has to take geometery in a summer class. She was so ill at the end of the school year there just was no way she could get the grade up to pass. Plus, she finds that math subjects are quite challanging for her. Poor girl is so worried that she won't pass because it is a class all on the computer and she still is not understanding it. On the upside, she is wanting to take golf lessons this summer and wants to go out for golf this fall at school.

Work has been keeping me even more busy than usual! About 40 hours a week now, and some overtime. I was working around 30 hours! I am finding that with work, mowing the yard, and the usual summer activities, it is hard to find time to do some crafting. Although, I do have some great ideas in the works for you, and I will make time, of course, for the Country Fried Prims site which will be launching new items on June 15. So be sure to stop by my shop then for my new creations!

Take care and God bless!

Finally got to Meet!

Today I finally got to meet Susie of Yankee Lane Primitives in person! We had a great day with perfect weather. We ended up going "junkin'" at Goodwill, a large Flea Market & the Salvation Army. Both of us found some great things and I am sure you will be seeing most of the items in creations very soon. We also had a great lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. We ended the day with a visit at my home and she got to meet Michelle and some of her friends. When I took Susie back to town to her vehicle I had to fit Jessica with a dress that I am making for her. So Susie got to meet both the girls and Jessica's fiance, Seth. LOL, of course the kids had more laundry to send home with me! (They live in a small apartment and have no room for a washer/dryer.) I had a great time, Susie, I hope you did too!

I am exhausted so I'm off to bed!

God Bless!

It's that time of the Month! LOL

For Country Fried Primitives launch that is! I have finished three new items, and I am still working on the fourth. I think it has been all the birds singing and that spring smell in the air that inspired me to make birdhouses this time. I know you will love all three of them! The item I am still working on is a wooden pedistal bowl that I am painting a floral design on. Here are a few pics of the birdhouses. Look closely at the last 2 houses they are made out of bricks!

Work is still keeping me so very busy, limiting my time for crafts, but that is ok too. I will always manage to find a little time to make something! LOL, when you love something you can always fit it in!

Michelle's last day of school is the 20th already! She is anxious to have some fun with her friends.

A Special Order

I just wanted to share some pics of a Special Order that I have recently finished. The Gerber spoon, which was her children's, & the knife are the clients. The spoon was very difficult due to the size. I like to put a lot of detail in my paintings, so I found this was a challenge.

Michelle is feeling better, thank goodness! She even went to school everyday this week and managed to go all day. What a trooper. She has even managed to bring her grades back up in a weeks time. She is so intelligent!

I also wanted to share a pic of Michelle's cat, Sassy, in her usually lazy self position! LOL

I guess that's all for now...I had better get back in the craft room!

God Bless,

Lisa

It has been a long week!

It's finally Friday! whew, I never thought it would get here. There has been so many changes at my job, but they are changes for the good. Today I worked about 11 hours, and still have statements to finish and get out. Thankfully, that is something I can work on at home. This week was Secretary's Day/week. My boss, Kathy, is the best boss I have ever had. Bless her heart! She bought a beautiful potted plant for me with a pretty balloon tied to it. I just need to figure out what kind of plant this is. There is no label or instructions with it.

This weekend is going to be busy too. I have the yard to mow, my oldest daughter, Jessica, has asked me to make a dress for her, plus I have to finish my items for The Country Fried Prims monthly launch on May 15. I am planning to have at least 4 new items up for you.

My youngest daughter, Michelle, is still fighting off a virus, or something. Yesterday I took her in to the Doctor again. This time they took xrays of her chest to see if she has pneumonia. The Doctor said she could not see any signs of pneumonia, but it could still be there. Now Michelle is taking some antibiotics just in case. *sigh* I just want my "little girl" to feel good again. It has been a month or more of sickness for her. Please keep her in your prayers!

My, look at the time! I should really get to bed so I can be productive tomorrow!

Until next time...God Bless!

A Paypal Alternative!

A Paypal competitor called Revolution Money Exchange (RME) is trying to build up their customer base, by offering a sign on bonus of $25 and $10 referal bonuses. How does any of this effect me? My daughter has been ill alot lately and the medical bills are piling up, plus we both need new eye glasses. If I can get a dozen or so people to sign up on RME as a referal to me, we will be able to purchase our glasses from an online eyeglass place called Zenni Optical. I can get a complete set of glasses, frames, and no line bifocals, for just over $100. The best part is... while you are helping me to pay for our glasses YOU will get $25 for free too. When you are ready to sign up for RME please email me so I can send you the invitation. That is the only way I can get the referal bonuses. Until then, if you would like more information you can go to the RME site or to this financial site review of the company. Every $10 bonus, will put me closer to my goal. Once signed up, you can also refer up to 50 people of your own. That's a possibility of $525 in free money.
